Mystery

Nowhere was her home, it was everywhere
under trees, and among the bushes.
Her family were creatures of the wild,
Her sky was but the tallest.
Her eyes, they were emeralds, and they gleamed in the sun.
Her hair, a contrasting darkness,
She'll just dance away, and go astray
And melt into the forest.

A single cloth all day she wore
A basket of fruits she carried along,
The world was enlivened by her spirited song.
Her life was simple, her clothes were modest,
Her turban was of the shade of August
And she wore the beads of the Nature Goddess,
She'll just dance away, and go astray,
And melt into the forest.

Every night, she visits her mother, the Sea
to watch her father beckon them
With his dazzling silver arms, he calls down to her,
To join him in his moonlit Heaven.
And when you're down, remember her,
She'll come to be your solace,
Then She'll dance away, and go astray,
And melt into the forest.
